Alex "Steelwill Purestorm" Amy Michaels, better known as AA Michaels, (born Oliveira da Figueira Michaels; July 7, 1970) is a American-Canadian actor/actress, musician, hermaphrodite, brony, and entertainer known for his work with his sister Kristian Michaels.
AA is also known by the brony community by his OC, a anthropomorphic herm unicorn pony original character named "Purestorm". He became a brony after discovering My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic while channel surfing.
Since Season 20, he has been an associate producer of Greeny Phatom. He is also a storyboard artist on Catgirl and the Clawed Crusaders.
History[]
AA was born Oliveira da Figueira Michaels at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont, one day after his sister's birth. He was named after Oliveira da Figueira, an merchant character from the Tintin comics.
AA suffered from gender dysphoria like his sister. He was often mistaken by his fellow students as female. Alex went through hormone therapy, but decided to retain his male genitalia in order to attempt to be a "big brother". He adopted his "long name" of Alex "Steelwill Purestorm" Amy Michaels but Kristian nicknamed him Alex and AA.
In 1990, AA landed a job as an actor, working alongside his sister in various shows. One of his favorite projects was The Dragonz!, a 2003 film were he and his sister had voice acting roles in.
