Nate Stainton (born February 26, 1972) is an American artist, musician, activist, and actor, who is the younger brother of Robert Stainton.
Nate lives in Hagåtña, the capital of the United States territory of Guam, with his wife, an Iraqi-born American activist named Afsheen Al-Jazari who is an ex-war bride, his pet Silkie rooster chicken Mason, his brother's third daughter Bridgette, and his children Jack, Steven, and Billy.
He currently heads The Greeny Channel Studios.
History[]
Nate was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, Illinois on February 26, 1972. During his childhood, he and Robert tended to fight over who got to watch television.
Nate went to John F. Kennedy High School in Hagåtña, Guam for his high school education, and was briefly exchanged to Robert's school, Chicago Vocational High School.
Nate graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a degree in arts.
Nate is known for pieing people. In 1998, he pied Jim Bohlen at a environmentalists meetup. In 2003, he, Ernie Vienna, and members of Robert Stainton's Grow Up or Get Pied movement pied several PETA protesters outside a McDonald's restaurant. In 2006, he pied Ingrid Newkirk with a pie that contained blended McDonald's cheeseburgers and KFC chicken. On January 4, 2009, he pied Moby (with a meat pie) due to his support of PETA. In 2012, he pied Annie Laurie Gaylor at the 2012 Global Atheist Convention in Melbourne, Australia, yelling "Stop shoving your disbelief in religion in our faces!" In 2014, he and Ernie Vienna pied former 2Day FM disc jockey Mel Greig at his home after doxxing his IP address.
Film Work[]
Nate Stainton makes psychedelic films and is involved in surrealist cinema, though he tends to call his work "Crazy Guamanian Sickness", or CGS. His films often feature scenes cutting away to bizarre visuals, such as two girls rubbing against each other's legs, or a hippie playing a Gibson L6-S electric guitar plugged into a television showing an Emergency Alert System test.
Personal life[]
Nate and his brother run a restaurant named Tauchkörper, with branches in Hagåtña, Guam, Utica, New York, and Chicago, Illinois. It serves greasy spoon fare, various international dishes, and vegan dishes from the naked bodies of women.
